Art is a mirror, and my mission as an artist is to provide different mirrors for one to experience. I create works that speak to the individual, recalling intensity and unease in the viewer. I am fascinated by the power visual art has to instill emotional response, and am equally fascinated by the viewers’ response to being made to feel.
I am inspired by artists like Felix Morelo, Richard Serra, and Marina Abrahamovic, whose artwork says more about the people interacting with it than the artist themselves. With many of their pieces, obtrusiveness is something to be celebrated as it forces action in service of new experiences. I want to continue to provide social critique through a series of interactive, engaging art pieces
